One of the
original authors of R&R, has created a new standalone utility
that let’s you explore R&R reports.
ReportScript allows you to see what is inside of
a report file. To use ReportScript,
the only requirement is an R&R report file.
To use
ReportScript, you do not need to
have R&R installed and you do not need the report data files.
Simply
install and launch ReportScript,
select a report file and you will instantly have access to the
complete contents of the selected report. You can search,
analyze, cross-reference, document and export every object and
property within a report. ReportScript
can be used with reports written in ANY
version of R&R. If you have a report file or library with the
extension .RP1, .RP2, .RP3,.RP4 .RP5, .RP6 ,.RRW, or .RSW, you
simply select the file and ReportScript
displays a complete report specification. It even works with .PRL
reports that were created Progress Report Builder.

As Liveware endeavors to make reporting
for versatile and useful for our clients, we are now pleased to offer
PDFeXPLODEtm,
published by 3000AD Systems. PDFeXPLODE lets you take a single PDF file
generated by R&R and containing embedded tags, and distribute applicable
portions of the PDF file via email to the recipients indicated in the
tags.
PDFeXPLODE acts printer driver and
creates the PDF file and "explodes" it in a single step. Further,
PDFeXPLODE does not require a full
version of Adobe Acrobat.
New features in Version 2:
Mail Merge: Added mail merge capabilities so you can personalize
e-mails by including variables in your <pdfexplode> tag and inserting
the variables within your e-mail subject and message.
Dynamic File Naming: You can better organize your PDF files by
supplying the desired folder and file names in the <pdfexplode> tag.
Multiple Output Destinations: Now you can choose whether to
e-mail, print and/or archive a document, depending upon business rules
and customer preferences.
Powerful E-mail Addressing: You can now easily send a document to
distribution list. For example, you can associate the name “Managers”
with the e-mail addresses of specific managers.
Enhanced Password Protection: You can apply a global password to
all documents to provide basic security with minimal effort, or you can
include individual user passwords in the <pdfexplode> tag to use
existing passwords from your database.
Added Security: PDF-eXPLODE now supports SSL and TLS, two of the
most common types of e-mail encryption used by e-mail services such as
Google™ G-mail™.
